We are pleased to share the photos just sent to us by our customer Lino, an experienced farmer and the proud owner of an Irritec single-chamber vertical sand media filter EUV 2″.

Lino, who owns a truffle orchard in the province of L’Aquila, used a traditional disc filter for his irrigation water, which comes from the local irrigation consortium and is extremely rich in organic matter.

Algae, insects and the organic matter in the water clogged the disc filter after just 2 hours of operation.

Our technical department recommended an Irritec EUV 2” vertical sand media filter, ideal for the flow rate of Lino’s system and for removing organic matter.

The Irritec EUV 2” filter guarantees several hours of continuous operation without any stops.

In the system layout the sand media filter is installed upstream, followed in series by the traditional disc filter.

The sand media filter is backwashed by reversing the direction of the water flow.

As you can easily see in the video, the sand media filter retains all the organic matter, and the disc filter installed after it in series stays practically clean even after several hours of operation.

The disc filter installed in series after the sand media filter, perfectly clean after 9 hours of operation. The Irritec filter retained all the organic matter.

Lino also proved to be a skilled technician, assembling the filter perfectly. We thank him for the photos and for his feedback.

Customer satisfaction is our satisfaction.
